I am so blessed today, well everyday for that matter. But today I want to share why I feel extremely blessed! Today I could be without one of my children. My baby. Yesterday was one of those days I had to call on the name of Jesus for rescue!!

I took the kids to a park in a nearby town, and it isn't a park I normally go to, and after yesterday I don't know if I will ever go back! This park is located in the middle of town, by a busy main highway with no fencing at all.

My 16 month old was walking in the middle of the park toward the street and so I call out to him to come back. He turns to see me walking his way (he is a good way away from me, the park is big!), but when he sees me coming to him, he takes off running full speed TOWARD the highway!

I start to run as fast as I can to get him, he is laughing the whole time thinking this is a game. My heart is pounding and screaming his name to stop, and screaming Jesus in my head!!

I had to kick off my flip-flops to gain better footing and faster speed. I ran like I have never ran before!! I know that there were angles carrying me to him!

Just as I reached him, he was about to walk off the sidewalk and into coming traffic!! I do not know how he ran so fast to get to that side of the park so fast, but he did. And I think I might have to call the city and say something about the safety of that park.

I was watching him the whole time, I knew he was going that way, and I went after him. But boy that kid can run!! I am truly blessed because yesterday I almost lost my son.

Had he stepped off that sidewalk, he would have walked right in front of a car that was passing by. The road is a busy main highway. There is no doubt in my mind he would have died yesterday. Jesus was watching over us yesterday!! I praise His Holy name for saving my baby from disaster!!

Thank you Jesus, to You be all the glory!!
