Lemons or Lemonade?

I have been thinking alot about what life is all about. I have come to the startling conclusion, at times it can be sour.

There are going to be bumps in the road, there is going to be sickness, there is going to be disappointments. There may even be tragedy. But instead of focusing on the negative aspects of life, I will choose to sprinkle some sugar onto my lemons. Make something sweet out of my life.

There are times when this seems almost next to impossible, things just seem to far gone. Then God throws in a song to brighten my day, or a stranger (who probably is that angel in disquise the Bible talks about) will lend me a hand with putting the groceries in the back of my van when I am about to lose patience.

This sin sick fallen world would have us think on the bad things, see only the crime, the disease, the wickedness, but Jesus says to think on these things (Philippians 4:8) 'whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy.'

This is my challenge to myself and to you...change the lemons into lemonade.

  3. What a beautiful message! At times I find myself being sour or grumpy and my words come out a little harder than I mean for them to. I too will start to think about sprinkling a little sugar over my attitude and try to make each day a little sweeter.
