Easy Whipped Body Lotion Recipe

8:31 PM

This is so easy anyone can do it!! I just made it myself and love it! Although I did go my own direction from the original recipe, but it still turned out ok.

So here is the recipe I was supposed to use:

14 oz. shea butter (un/refined, doesnt matter)
5 oz coconut oil, soft or melted
6ml fragrance/essential oil

That is all! Whip this on high for 6-7 minutes....comes out whipped.

I had all those things but I had 16oz shea butter and so I used that, I used 3/4 cup oil with is 6oz and about 1/2t of fragrance AND 1/2t lavender essential oil. Mine came out not as whipped as I would have liked but still a nice consistency that I can live with.

I should not have used so much coconut oil and fragrance and I would have had a firmer body butter, but I am very pleased with my concoction!! I just got done making it and havent had a chance to get any pictures taken so I will do this tomorrow as it is late now.

I would love to hear what you think of this and what you have tried!!
