Anti-Acne Astringent

Mint and Rosemary

*This post has been updated

Acne has always been a big part of my life, and trying to get rid of it has been a challenge. I pretty much have it under control now, but it has taken much trial and error. I have tried everything over the counter with no luck.

I since have switched to all natural methods with the best results ever! Not everything I have tried has been a huge success, but I have so much fun trying new things that I haven't gave up the fight just yet! And sometimes I stumble across something that confirms that natural is always best!

After much research I have found that rosemary is a great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory , as well as wintergreen and peppermint. So after reading this I did more research to figure out a way to use it for my face. I came up with this recipe and it seems to be have worked well for me.

Here is what you need and how to do it:

1 T fresh mint leaves
1 t dried rosmary
1 cup water

Bring water to boil, steep herbs until cooled. You can strain out liquid, I chose to keep the plants in there. No biggie!
Place all items into container and keep in fridge up to two weeks.

Wash your face first, then apply with a cotton ball.

The mint makes your face feel refreshed, it does not tingle so don't worry.

It has helped to shrink my pores and reduce the time I have a blemish, not to mention how great it smells!!
