I have read many articles online about the benefits of cleaning your colon so I thought I would jump on the cleaning train.

I know you are wondering, just like I was, how this can be possible just by cleaning your colon.

Well, your colon itself weighs four pounds, it has the potential to hold around eight meals worth of food! So image 2-3 days worth of meals just hanging around in your gut. That's a lot of food! A lot of weight! A lot of potent toxins hanging around!

Now image years and years of build up stuck. If you are not in the habit of eating fiber rich foods, healthy foods and lots of water, your digestion system is slow and not eliminating like it should. Food waste does not evacuate like its supposed to, it gets clogged up. That's were constipation comes in...IBS can also be caused by build up.

My review of this product has been a challenge. The recommend way to take this product is 1-2 capsules in the morning and 1-2 before bed. I personally chose to take 1 in the morning only. I was warned that it may take 2-3 days to start working, a "prime the pump" may be in order. My first day I went a handful of times; the second day was better; the third day I woke up at 2am with horrible cramps and the need for a box of baby wipes!

I would recommend this product, but make sure you start out slow and eat healthy while taking it. Drink plenty of water and be active. If you do not follow all these tips, you may prolong the process.

A probiotic is something everyone should have in their daily routine even if you do not have digestive issues. Taking one proibiotic a day keeps the doctor away...hehehe

You all know how I love to make my own household goodies, this time I ventured into making my own deodorant. I looked online for months reading different posts, reading thoughts, reviews, whatever I could get my eyes on!

When it comes to feminine hygiene I am all up on making sure I smell good! No one wants to be around someone who stinks all the time, and I certainly do not want people to remember me as the stinky lady!!

I was very nervous to even try this. In fact I tried this at home for a few days when I knew I would not be going anywhere!! But I made sure to test it thoroughly. I sat outside and sunbathed for one hour, I push mowed my lawn one day, we even went on a hike in the Smoky Mountains....let me say, this stuff works!!

I found tons of recipes online, but ultimately I concocted my own recipe, that's just how I roll!!

Before I share with you the recipe, I need to share with you a new product I was blessed to review (yes, I used it in this recipe!)...Cleopatra's Choice Shea Butter. 

As you can see from the picture, this is 100% organic, comes from Ghana Africa and is loaded with vitamins A & E. 

I used this to create my homemade deodorant recipe, and I love this stuff. The texture felt a bit grainy when you first scooped it out, and it's supposed to. It melts right into your skin when it gets warm. I love the moisturizing effect of shea butter. I give Cleopatra's Choice ***** (5) stars!!

Now, onto the recipe!

Items you will need:

1/2 cup baking soda

1/2 cup cornstarch or arrowroot

5 Tablespoons Raw organic shea butter

1/2 cup Organic coconut oil

essential oils (optional)

Melt your coconut oil and shea butter together using a double broiler. I did not have to do this- my coconut oil was already liquid form so when I added my shea butter together, I just whipped it and it was perfect. 

Add all your other powder ingredients and mix. Add your essential oils last, using whatever combination you like. 

I choose lavender, tea tree, cajput and lemon. All of these have anti-bacterial properties and smell pretty good together. You do not want to over do it with essential oils because you may cause skin irritation; I would recommend using only 5-7 drops each. 

Place this mixture into any container you like. Be warned, if your home gets warm it will be a thin paste and can leak out of certain containers (old deodorant sticks). 

To use, dab your finger into the mix or if solid use about a dime sized amount; rub into your arm pit. 

I have not had any issues with staining the underarm of my shirts, but have noticed my womanly undergarments did get stained. I would always apply with this on, but would wait for it to soak in before putting on my shirts....this is advised! 

Like I mentioned before, this has been tested, A LOT!! I would never go back to using anything else!!

No shea butter??

Just use 6 T. Coconut oil
3 T. baking soda
3. T. cornstarch
essential oils- optional

That is all!!!

I love, love, love shea butter. Shea butter is the fatty substance obtained from the nuts of the African shea tree. 

You can use shea butter is a variety of ways; cosmetics, lotions, skin care, hair care. 

For my review, I thought it would be great to highlight how I used it on my sons recent sunburn.

We went on a float trip and my lil Bear:-( contracted the awful sunburn...I make it sound like a contagious disease because it can be...when you don't lather up in sunscreen!!

Really it's all my fault. I didn't force him to wear sunscreen like I should have. He tans super easy so I thought he would be alright for the first couple hours, yeah, I was wrong. Not to mention a bad mother!!

Anyhow, I had read that shea butter was a good thing to apply to a sunburn (after the heat is out of the burn) to keep the skin moisturized and help repair it.

You can easily customize the stickers to say anything you want and look the way you want them to. 

There are some stickers and labels that are pre-made and you can select those as is, or you can edit them to your liking. 

I had so much fun browsing the backgrounds, styles and colors! The only thing I would change about the entire site is providing more fonts to choose from, other than that, the entire website is awesome!!

I am loving this book. This is one that you will read and read again. This is also a great book to share with others who want a greater understanding of this particular book in the Bible.

When you first hear the title of this book, you might think about your home, at least I did. 

This book is more than about simplifying your home, it's about reaching into your heart and making room for Jesus. It's about taking out the baggage, the garbage, the clutter and making room for the things that really matter in YOUR life.

How many times have you started to do something that you have dreamed to do, then have it snatched out from underneath you?

I cannot count the times my heart has been broken from this. 

I have come to learn the hard way that when things do not go my way, God has a better plan. Something better to do, something greater in the works.

I am pretty picky about what I put on my face because I suffer from acne so bad. I had to so some digging to find out if this would be a good product to try. I liked the ingredients that I saw so I went for it.

This book made me cry, smile, laugh and reflect thoughtfully on what I want my two boys to know in life.

The author Dave Bruskas shares his heart and soul in this book, giving us letters he wrote to his late son David. 

David was born with a rare heart defect that took him to be with Jesus at the very young age of two months. At the beginning of each chapter, Dave writes a letter to his son describing what day to day life is like, how things could have been if he were still alive and advice that he would have shared with David. 

This book is eye opening from the perspective of a proud dad, not a grieving father. He shares his stories about spending time with his son, celebrating his birthday every year with his other daughters and wife. But what really makes this book extra special is the solid advice he gives for raising sons in the now.

I have two boys, I need to know what to do!! I am clueless! A momma only knows the ins and out of girl stuff. This has helped me see from a mans perspective to a son what needs to be addresses, how and when. I appreciate these kinds of books and I feel that you will too. 

Do not pass this book up if you have a son!!

Let me start off by saying that I do not to take diet pills! This is an all natural herb supplement, just like Asian Ginseng, and herbs like it. Before I decided to review this product I did some research to see what exactly it is. 

Garcinia cambogia is a fruit that grows in Southeast Asia that is also called tamarind. They use the extract of the rind of this fruit which contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA). This is said to help curb appetite, slow the body's fat storing process and reduces emotional eating.

WOW!! This sounds great!

I tried the Garcinia Cambogia  from XIUM and will give you an honest review. 

I tend to get headaches on a regular basis {shall I say...daily} and after taking this for a couple days my headaches grew worse. I also noticed that I was extremely irritable and moody. I do not mean a little moody. I mean, I was down right mean! Let me say, I am not proud of that!! SO....I tossed the rest into the trash!

I do not like to give negative reviews, so let me tell you what I do like about the product. I did not experience any jitters like you would from caffeine. My brain did not feel foggy or dizzy. I felt great, except for being short tempered and having to take more headache meds. 

Now, everyone will not have the same reaction to garcinia cambogia as I did. People have different reactions to different herbs. Caution should always be used when you try or think about trying a new supplement. Careful research should be done to ensure you are taking something safely. 

There are some precautions that I should mention about taking garcinia cambogia. If you take an antidepressant, you should talk to your doctor before taking this as it does effect serotonin levels. Also, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding this supplement should be avoided.

I personally do not have the time to craft as much as I would like to, but these ideas are so inspiring that I will have to make time to try them!!

I am a Bible hoarder! I cannot help it. I love to study the Word!!

What I really love about this Bible is that it has many features to help you study more in depth.

It has some story background, it lays out the history and even shows you photos of what they are talking about.


There is a Q&A area. It asks some pretty good daily life questions we as Christians
should be asking ourselves to challenge our faith.

I will have to say this is hands down the best Bible I have ever gotten.



I would recommend this Bible to anyone looking to search the scriptures for more insight, new Christians who want to learn what the scriptures have to say, or for seasoned Christians who are looking for a new spin on certain topics.
