The Amazing Benefits of Avocado For Your Skin
Avocados are rich in healthy fatty acids and antioxidants that are amazing for your skin. I will discuss some of those perks and give you a homemade Rejuvenating Avocado Mask recipe that is super easy to whip up!!
So what are those amazing benefits I am talking about??
1. Vitamin C- for skin vitamin C is needed to create collagen and elastin, which bind skin cells together and help maintain their firmness and structure.
2. Vitamin E- it assists in preventing free radical damage from breaking down fats in your skin cells that lead to aging skin.
3- Antioxidant Carotenoids- these are alpha carotene, beta carotene, and lutein; along with a few more. These free radical compounds provide amazing protection for your skin from the environmental damage that leads to fine lines, wrinkles and other visible signs of aging. Studies have shown that high amounts of carotenoids in your diet can improve skin tone and general appearance.
4- Moisturizing Monounsaturated Fatty Acids- an omega-9 fatty acid in avocados is linked to regenerating damaged skin cells and reducing facial redness and irritation. This is done by maintaining moisture in the epidermal layer of your skin, helping to make it soft and hydrated.
Now that we know some of the benefits to avocados, we can see that making a mask with avocados is an excellent choice!!
This can be used for all skin types and should not be made in large batches. Only make what you need at the time.
