No Grey Dry Shampoo
September 18, 2014Dry Shampoo with No Grey Look
No one likes oily looking hair. And I do not like having to wash my hair but twice a week (sometimes I go longer than that- shhh, don't tell my husband that!!). Dry shampoo is my hair saver!!
I use dry shampoo all the time, but it tends to leave my hair looking grey. I do not like that at all!!
I do not want people to see the powder in my hair, so I have to rub and rub in an attempt to get the grey away.
I have ash blonde hair so adding cocoa powder really helped make my dry shampoo blend in perfectly!
You can use a make up brush to dust it on, or use a small face powder puff (I guess that's what it is called) to rub it into your roots.
The bonus- you smell like chocolate!!!
Just an FYI- this powder does not get sticky, it has no sugar in it- it's just powder.
Here is the ratio I used:
1/3 cup cornstarch
2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
It's the best I have ever made and will continue to make it for life!!

This is good to know as I have blond hair. I have the opposite problem, my hair is dry so dry so I only wash it twice a week.
ReplyDeleteLife. Saver. I have the same issue!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I've never used dry shampoo but I have wondered about it, I would really enjoy smelling like chocolate!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try dry shampoo for a long time (I'm not a fan of washing my hair either but it gets really oily if I don't). I'm going to try this!
