12:00 AMChicken Nuggets Made at Home
Do your kids like chicken nuggets? Your kids are gonna love this!! The recipe is flavorful, crunchy, crispy, yummy, scrumptious...need I go on!!!
Ummm, I am getting hungry again just looking at these babies!
Gather your Ingredients:
5-7 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cups flour
1 T. salt
1 t. pepper
1 t. cayenne pepper (these are not spicy at all with this in it)
1 t. paprika
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. onion powder
1 T. Tony's Creole Cajun Seasoning
1 t. season salt
1 t. seasoned meat tenderizer
3 cups milk
3 eggs
Oil for frying- heat to 350 degrees in dutch oven or electric skillet.
How to Make The Magic Happen:
1. Trim off any fat and cube your chicken into bite size chunks.
2. Mix all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
3. Place milk and eggs into another large bowl.
4. Dredge chicken in egg wash.
5. Flour chicken.
6. Re-dredge in egg wash.
7. Flour chicken again.
8. Fry for 5-7 minutes.
This was so simple!
The whole process took me about 40 minutes from start to finish!
Not to shabby!
A little tip on what I used for oil- and I can see the cringes now....
I used lard and bacon grease that I saved....yes, I know.
I can see the faces!!
But it was so yummy!!!!
I never said this was a "light" meal, or healthy...
ENJOY!!!

This has my mouth watering! It's not weird to want chicken nuggets for breakfast, right?
ReplyDeleteOh not weird at all....I eat them for breakfast (if there are leftovers...but that's not typical here at this house!!)

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Yes, they make me hungry looking at them too!
DeleteThese look so delicious and seem much healthier than the frozen ones I usually buy. I can't wait to try making them :)
ReplyDeleteI should make these and keep frozen. I use popcorn chicken in my salads (frozen section). These would be soooo much better!!
ReplyDeletePinning it!
