Homemade Aloe Vera Lotions


Aloe Aftershave Gel

1/2 cup aloe vera gel
1 1/2 T. distilled water
1 T. witch hazel
10 drops essential oil of your choice

1. Combine all the ingredients in the container you will store this in. Stir until well mixed. Cover container with a tight-fitting lid.
2. Keep in a cool, dark location. Should keep indefinitely. 


Burn Spray

1 ounce ice water
1 ounce aloe vera gel
25 drops TOTAL of lavender, chamomile, spearmint and yarrow essential oil.
1 capsule of vitamin E, 400 IU

1. In small spray bottle, mix ice water, aloe vera, and essential oils. Pierce the vitamin E with a needle, squeeze into the container and chill.
2. Shake before use and spray over burned area. Keeps in the refrigerator for several days.

Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion 

1 cup aloe vera gel
1 tsp. vitamin E oil {if necessary break open several capsules}
5-10 drops essential oil of your choice {frankincense is awesome!}
3/4 ounces of cosmetic grade bees wax, grated or shaved
1/2 cup vegetable oil {or oil of your choice}

1. In med bowl, stir together the aloe vera gel, vitamin E, and essential oils. Set aside.
2. In the top of a double broiler over simmering water, melt together the beeswax and vegetable oil. Stir until smooth and well blended. Remove from heat.
3. Slowly and continuously pour the melted mix into the bowl with the aloe vera mix, using a handheld electric mixer on low speed. Run a clean rubber spatula around the rim of the bowl to incorporate all the ingredients. Continue mixing until well blended.
4. Pour the final mix into a 13 ounce sterilized jar with tight fitting lids. Keep the lotion in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.
