Adding Custom Social Media Buttons to Blogger

September 04, 2014

I just shared with you how to customize your own social media follow buttons, now I am going to show you how to install them into your sidebar.

First thing you need to do, is open a new post. Upload your photo(s) - for the sake of this example I am just using the same photo-

You will need to "link" these buttons up to your social media sites. Click on the photo- then link- then the photo again- then link (you have to do this or it will not work). Do this for all your photos.

Now click on the HTML button in the top left corner

You will see this-

Now copy this gibber jabber and save the post- open up your layout and add a gadget- select your HTML/JAVA button.

When this opens up, paste the code into the widget. Move the widget to were you want them!

This is a preview of that it will look like at the top of sidebar-

I hope this has helped you get started to creating your own look!!
My next blog tip will be to show you how to create a custom header!
You don't want to miss that one!!
