The Storm Inside Book Review

The Storm Inside

By Sheila Walsh

I was so amazed at the power that was inside this book. I honestly read most books pretty quick and not letting them sink in. This book was different for me. I had no choice but to face the reality that this book was speaking to my soul.
Mrs. Walsh talks about how past mistakes, sin and outside circumstances can cause us to harbor ill feelings. Those feelings can range from hate, bitterness, rejection and loneliness.

In each chapter she focuses on certain attitudes, thoughts or topics. An example would be: Disappointment to Hope; Shame to Love; Insecurity to Confidence.

I love how each chapter deals with issues we may be facing, or have faced in the past. She tells her own story of abuse and her father killing himself when she was five years old. Those events caused her to have mind sets that were not true and made her feel things that she should not have felt. She blamed herself for his suicide which led to all those thoughts and feelings.

While reading this book, it made me face my own hurts and abuse that I suffered. This book is not for the faint of heart!! If you have past hurts that you are holding onto, this book will make you dig deep, but it's well worth the pain.
