I love, love, love shea butter. Shea butter is the fatty substance obtained from the nuts of the African shea tree.

You can use shea butter is a variety of ways; cosmetics, lotions, skin care, hair care.

For my review, I thought it would be great to highlight how I used it on my sons recent sunburn.

We went on a float trip and my lil Bear:-( contracted the awful sunburn...I make it sound like a contagious disease because it can be...when you don't lather up in sunscreen!!

Really it's all my fault. I didn't force him to wear sunscreen like I should have. He tans super easy so I thought he would be alright for the first couple hours, yeah, I was wrong. Not to mention a bad mother!!

Anyhow, I had read that shea butter was a good thing to apply to a sunburn (after the heat is out of the burn) to keep the skin moisturized and help repair it.

I know, this looks horrible! And he was hurting pretty bad!

Beauty By Shea is 100% organic, raw shea butter that comes from Ghana.

There are so many benefits to raw shea butter; it's packed with vitamin A (which made it perfect for healing his sunburned skin), Vitamin E, Vitamin F & Vitamin K. All those vitamins are excellent for the skin!!

I love how Beauty by Shea packed the butter into a heat proof bag, especially since shipping in hot trucks can cause it to melt. When I got mine, it was still solid, so I believe the bag worked! Actually, it was left outdoors for a day and a half as well- we weren't home when the package arrived. We were on our float trip were my Bear got his sunburn!!

I also made up a homemade sunburn spray that you can read about here!

Lesson learned-sunscreen is needed no matter what!

Oh, did I mention that I am giving a 1 lb. brick of Beauty by Shea raw organic shea butter away??

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
