We all get headaches from time to time, and as with many things, the affects it has on us variety from person to person. Headaches are a common problem for many people. They can be caused by a number of factors, including stress, lack of sleep, dehydration, hunger or eating too fast, bad posture, or even loud noises or bright lights. Headaches can also be due to more serious conditions such as high blood pressure or aneurysms.

The good news is that there are many things you can try at home before you reach for medication to relieve your headache pain. From painkillers to cured resin CBD tinctures, however, there are other ways that you can relief your headaches. Here are four simple techniques that may help give you some relief for your headaches.

Drink water

The first headache relief technique is to drink water. Dehydration can cause dehydration headaches, so make sure you are drinking enough water to stay hydrated.

If you already have a headache, drinking water will help reduce the pain and keep it from getting worse. Drinking water also helps prevent headaches by keeping your body well-hydrated and preventing dehydration headaches from occurring in the first place.  Drinking plenty of water during migraine attacks can help relieve symptoms, since dehydration is one of the most common causes of migraines.

Take a nap

Naps are one of the best ways to relieve headaches. When you wake up from a nap, your body is flooded with endorphins. These are hormones that help your body relax and ease tension. After a nap, your blood pressure drops and your heart rate slows down. This helps to reduce the pain associated with headaches.

When you wake up from a nap, it's like having an energy boost without all the caffeine. A quick snooze can help clear your mind and refresh your body so that you're ready for whatever comes next.

Use cold or moist heat

You can use cold or moist heat to reduce your headache. These types of treatments will help you to relax, which will in turn reduce the pain associated with your headache. For example, if you are experiencing a tension headache, try holding an ice pack on the back of your neck while sitting upright and taking slow deep breaths.

Alternately, if you have a migraine, try soaking in a tub filled with warm water for 15 minutes before resting with an ice pack on your forehead or temples. If you have cluster headaches which cause severe throbbing, try using a heating pad on low heat as needed for 15 minutes at a time throughout the day

Try massage therapy

Massage is one of the most effective headache relief techniques available. It's also one of the most enjoyable and relaxing, as it helps you feel better about your body by increasing circulation and relieving tension in areas that are particularly stressed out.

Massage can also help you sleep better and reduce stress levels, which can be beneficial in reducing headaches altogether. Massages done by a trained professional can be especially beneficial for those who suffer from chronic headaches or migraines because it will help to relax muscles that are tense due to stress or tension caused by other factors such as poor posture.

These are just a few techniques that can help to give you some relief if you have a headache.
